Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 August 2026
1. Who we are
MakeBright (“we”, “us”) is a demand-forecasting service for bakeries, cafés, and fresh-food producers, operated by a sole trader based in Norway. You can reach us at hello@makebright.app. By creating an account or using MakeBright, you agree to these terms.
2. The service, trial and subscription
MakeBright produces demand forecasts and planning tools from the data you enter. Forecasts are estimates and predictions. They can be wrong, and you remain responsible for your own production and business decisions.
New accounts start with a 30-day free trial, no payment details required. After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription, currently €39 per month per shop, exclusive of any applicable VAT. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and end at the close of the paid period. Until online payment is available in the app, we may continue to provide the service free of charge after your trial; accounts created before 9 August 2026 remain free of charge.
3. Your account
Provide accurate information and keep your login details secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. MakeBright is a tool for businesses, so you should use it for your bakery, café, or food business rather than as a consumer.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service: no attempting to break, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer it, no accessing data that isn’t yours, and no unlawful use.
5. Your data
You keep ownership of the business data you enter. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service for you: to store and process that data and generate your forecasts. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Availability and accuracy
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or the accuracy of any forecast.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or anything that cannot be limited under Norwegian mandatory law. Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in the 12 months before a claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profit or business, or business decisions you make based on a forecast.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using MakeBright and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. If you keep using MakeBright after an update, that update applies to you. We’ll revise the date above when we make a change.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any dispute is subject to the Norwegian courts, with Oslo District Court (Oslo tingrett) as the venue.
11. Severability
If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in force, and the invalid part is treated as replaced by a valid one that comes as close as possible to its original intent.
